House: The Animated Series--Today's Featured Animation

clock July 21, 2009 21:02 by author Admin

It's the hottest drama on TV...reduced to 2 hilarious animated minutes.

Unfortunately for hit TV show "House", Hayk Manukyan has its number in this gut-busting send-up of the drama's characters, style, and plot conventions.  In this animation, Dr. House and his crew have to deal with a typical patient--a sickly young boy always yelling "It hurts!"--but this time, even their brilliant strategies won't save the little tyke.

This spoof is not to be missed!

Big Fish--Today's Featured Animation

These are simply the funniest animation voices ever!

Hayk Manukyan's Abo and Karo are back in this hilarioius animated short "Big Fish".  Our two hair-brained heroes go to the lake on a routine fishing trip, and one comes up short.  Unfortunately, it only means the annoyance of a lifetime, when claims of a big fish becomes a big nuisance.

Irreverence and mania are key in this Abo and Kara animation, and you'll be on the floor laughing before you know it!

My Uncle--Today's Featured Animation

Another awesome music video from Adam Calfee, once again the dark visions of this Brooklyn animator are set to the raw and brutal beats of MC Ill Bills. This time, rather than the war-torn landscapes of a sinister future, Calfee takes us onto the streets of the real-life ghettos of American cities, and the drugs that have destroyed a family therein. Infused with sickeningly grotesque animations giving the music video ghastly exaggeration, "My Uncle" disturbs, excites, and, most importantly, keeps you hooked.

Love Meets In The Stars: Today's Featured Animation

It's cheaper than flowers and chocolates, and all you gotta do is forward it to the one you love

Check out Chris Bearer's ultra-romantic, ultra-beautiful piece "Love Meets In The Stars", today's featured animation. To sonorous music, watch gorgeously animated romantic imagery flow across the screen in complex visual harmony. If your heart doesn't melt a little, maybe love isn't your thing anyway.

Bugs' Race: Featured Animation of the Day

I guess if you have six legs it's still called a footrace. But what if you're riding your own slime? In Andrzej Ellert and Anna Jurkiewicz's exceptional animation "Bugs' Race", we get to see all the members of the insect and arachnid kingdoms battle it out in a desperate race to the finish line, rendered in beautiful and vibrant 3D animation. A wonderful, bright piece--enjoy!

War Is My Destiny: Today's Featured Animation

War truly is Hell in the incredible music video to rapper Ill Bill's shattering song "War Is My Destiny" from his album "The Hour of Reprisal", animated with incredible talent and style by Adam Calfee. A powerful and provocative work, this video shows a violent, disarming battle that has taken over a city to the pulse-pounding beat of Ill Bill's rhythms. This is a video not to be missed.

"A Telitalalat": Today's Featured Animation

You ever want something so bad you can taste it? Well, in A Telitalalat, an animation by Kosza Arnold, a soldier gets a taste of the castle he'll stop at nothing to break into. You'll see what I mean...

Bertha and Bruno: A Portrait of a Marriage

clock June 30, 2009 09:08 by author Admin

Today's featured animation comes from Michael Rokes, who brings us a hellish marriage in the heavens.  With only grunts and glares, Bruno and Bertha fight mercilessly while they live in the clowds.  They may grin to passing planes but they're at each others' throats the second they fly by.  Rokes's story is an all-too relatable, but no less funny, showcase for a marriage on the rocks...but up in the clowds.

WOULD A PIG FIND ITSELF DELICIOUS?

Signs that the times are tight aren’t just in thinning classifieds or sputtering stock tickers—experts say that the aisles of the supermarket are the front lines of a sinking economy.

But if you think I’m talking about buying factory-second bread or a cereal called Genero’s, check out animator Stephen Leonard’s twisted take on dining for dimes…
