We Want You: To Animate the Great Speeches That Shaped History and Changed The World!
The History Channel is teaming up with Aniboom to give you the chance to put your take on a great historical speech and have it shown on television.

The People Speak Competition includes musicians, actors, and writers like Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Josh Brolin, Allison Moorer, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. They read the words of those who spoke up, and against all odds revolutionized the world by choosing to act rather than lay quiet. By boldly rising and demonstrating the power of free speech and democracy, these select few people enriched the world and changed history with language. Keep the traditions of self-expression and artistic freedom alive—we want to see your take on the incredible and inspirational words still ringing down the annals of history!
Download our audio tracks and animate the one (or ones) that inspire you most. You will have from July 15, 2009 until September 2, 2009 to enter your first cut.
A panel of select judges, including Chris Moore of Project Greenlight, will pick 4 finalists and FANS at Aniboom will pick one. Our Five Finalists will be announced on or around September 16, 2009. The Five Finalists will receive $5,000 to help them turn their first cut storyboards, animatics, and animations, into final cuts suitable for television. One Grand Prize Winner will receive an additional $10,000, and a $15,000 development deal with HISTORY and Aniboom, and they’ll see their winning entry air on The History Channel.
