The History Channel and Aniboom have given animators around the world the opportunity to have their animated take on a great historical speech shown on television.
Musicians, actors, and writers like Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Josh Brolin, Allison Moorer, and Bruce Springsteen, read the words that have shaped and enriched our nation and the world.
By boldly rising and demonstrating the power of free speech and democracy, a select few people history enriched and changed the world through language and self-expression.
Now, those select animators whose work most speaks to the traditions of art and courage are in the running for the Grand Prize.
The Five Finalist animations come to us from all around the world—from Chinese animator David Chen’s Patriotism for Scoundrels, to Israeli Avi Graiver’s The Low Road, to American Carlos Ferguson’s This Order Cannot Endure, to Antonio Nardella’s Statement to the Court, to Austrian Gabriel Aronson’s Opposing a Social Order, the Aniboom Community Pick.
But they won’t be the only people vying for the Grand Prize—a $25,000 development deal with HISTORY. Animators are still encouraged to let their voices be heard and to submit their animations for a Wildcard Finalist Spot, where another animator will join our current five by submitting completed animations by November 4th.
So keep sending in your animations, and vote now for the animations that most inspire you and which make the words of history ring the loudest!
